Neuropsychological evaluations and psychological evaluations are performed
for a variety of purposes. I have extensive experience in both areas. Some

What I Specialize In

  • Evaluations for psychoeducational purposes include an initial consultation to determine possible reasons for the evaluation, and the assessment includes testing of an individual’s general intellectual abilities, academic skills (reading, writing, and mathematics), cognitive abilities, including attention skills, language skills, visual-motor skills, executive skills, and memory skills, as well as testing of their psychological and emotional functioning.

Recommendations are made based on the diagnosis. The evaluation process for this type of assessment usually takes six to eight hours.

  • Evaluations for neurological purposes consist of an initial consultation to obtain intake/historical information based on possible reasons for the evaluation (e.g. head injuries, strokes, seizure disorders, etc.).

The assessment includes testing of an individual’s general intellectual abilities, academic screening, and cognitive abilities, including language skills, visual-motor skills, executive skills, and memory skills, as well as testing of their psychological and emotional functioning.

Recommendations are made based on the diagnosis. The evaluation process for this type of assessment usually takes six to eight hours.

  • Evaluations for adults who are not in school but may want to clarify a possible diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and/or learning disability include an initial consultation to determine possible reasons for the evaluation, and the assessment includes testing of an individual’s general intellectual abilities, academic skills (reading, writing, and mathematics), cognitive abilities, including attention skills, language skills, visual-motor skills, executive skills, and memory skills, as well as testing of their psychological and emotional functioning.

  • Evaluations for possible psychological or psychiatric reasons for individuals who may or may not be in school consist of an initial consultation to determine possible reasons for the evaluation (e.g. depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, and PTSD).

The assessment consists of a diagnostic interview, a review of historical information, and objective personality testing.
